Part-Time Instructor
Our Lady of Solitude Academy is a girls’ high school combining classical education with rigorous home economics on an urban homestead in the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex.

Instructors support the parents in their role as the primary educators of girls by being an on-the-ground interpreter and executor of the school’s mission and the administration’s will. They are also role models for girls–praying, working, and studying alongside them.
Instructors must:
~Be a faithful daughter of the Church, willing to pledge obedience to the teaching of the Magisterium, persistent in prayer and sacrifice.
~Have the ability to speak not only rightly of God, but also sincerely, joyfully, and trustingly.

~Have a deep knowledge of and enthusiasm for the subject matter taught–at minimum, a bachelor’s degree, with at least eighteen to twenty-four hours related to the subject matter taught.
​
~Have the willingness and discipline to conform to a syllabus provided by the school, as well as a technology policy and a homework policy set by the administration.
​
~Be able to provide feedback to students, parents, and administration in a timely manner, grading fairly and consistently, maintaining an atmosphere of academic excellence without intellectual vanity, competitiveness, or artificial “busyness”.

~Be able to administer basic discipline and assist administration with more serious offenses.
​
~Be comfortable with differentiated instruction.
​
~Complete other related duties as assigned.

~Attend paid teacher training.
​
​
